What’s it about

Under the National Quality Framework, educators are required to document and assess children’s learning and development as part of their ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluating. But what does this mean in practical terms? What should this documentation include? And how do we know if we are ‘on the right track’ when there is no one right way to document?

These sessions will explore these questions and more, including exploring critical reflection and how to document it, unpacking the planning cycle and identifying some simple, time saving systems that can streamline your documenting and reduce your workload. Through reflective discussion, practical real life examples and hands on exercises you will be supported in developing a clear understanding of how to make documentation work for YOU. At the
second session or online follow up, there will be the opportunity to develop and implement action plans, gain feedback and support specific to your own contexts, and have your individual questions and circumstances responded to.
