Rubena Anderson explains the Aboriginal Language Map to CheckUP Staff

CheckUP staff took some time out to participate in a Staff Development half-day earlier this week, and were delighted that Rubena Anderson from QAIHC was able to start the day with an presentation about the Aboriginal Language Map.

Rubena explained that for thousands of years, the original inhabitants of Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, occupied the lands with very different boundaries than today, centred on intimate cultural relationships with the land and sea.

Thank you Rubena for providing such an interesting and informative talk to the CheckUP staff.
