Queenslanders - it’s time! Have your say in one of the state’s largest healthcare surveys

All Queenslanders are invited to take part in CheckUP’s statewide healthcare survey, which opened today (Monday 20 September).

The Health in Focus survey is available at www.checkup.org.au/hif and asks Queenslanders to share their experiences in accessing healthcare.

A random prize draw will take place after the survey closes with two Apple Watches (Series 6) and a Fitbit Versa 3 up for grabs.

CheckUP is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating healthier communities and reducing health inequities.

CheckUP CEO Ann Maree Liddy said the survey, now running for the 11th time, will provide an important snapshot of primary healthcare in Queensland.

“The survey aims to provide an overview of healthcare issues experienced by everyday Queenslanders and is of particular interest given the potential impact that COVID-19 has had on accessing healthcare and new methods of delivering healthcare, for example via phone or video conference,” Ms Liddy said.

She said the findings would be published by CheckUP in the 2021 Health in Focus report in early 2022 which would be a valuable resource for health planners and policy makers.

"The report will help us gain further insight into the key issues impacting on healthcare delivery in Queensland,” she said.

Ms Liddy said the survey should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete and is a wonderful investment of time given the impact the findings can have on shaping healthcare delivery in the future.

The survey will close on 31 October 2021.

The 2021 Health in Focus survey is proudly supported by CheckUP, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Mackay, AGPAL and QIP.
