Overview:

Mental Health Skills Training is a six hour workshop aimed at developing a general practitioner’s understanding of the requirements of the MBS Item numbers for mental health, referrals and patient health care planning.  The program supports GPs to further develop their skills in recognising and assessing mental illnesses, preparing evidence based General Practice Mental Health Treatment Plans, monitoring and reviewing progress and the referral of patients to appropriate services.  Accredited by the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration, completion of the training allows GPs to claim MBS Item Numbers for the preparation of a Mental Health Treatment Plan.  Further information is available by clicking here.

Approximately two weeks prior to the workshop participants will be sent a pre-workshop activity.  A workshop manual is provided to participants on the day.  Following the workshop participants are sent a post workshop activity.

Any cancellation of registration after payment has been received will incur a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received from 25 March 2019 will not be entitled to a refund.
