Ann Maree is an accomplished health executive with almost 20 years’ experience as Chief Executive Officer. Ann Maree’s expertise includes governance, strategic and operational planning, stakeholder engagement and leadership across the health sector, particularly primary health care. Her special interests include health systems improvement, organisational development and performance, governance and leadership, and the not-for-profit sector. Ann Maree has a total of 33 years’ experience working across the health and community services sector, spanning not-for-profit, public sector, private sector; hospitals and academia. Ann Maree is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Fellow, Australian College of Health Service Executives. She has served as a member of the Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) Queensland Branch Committee since 2016.

Karen Hale-Robertson - Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Karen Hale-Robertson provides leadership, management, planning and co-ordination across CheckUP’s programs and services. Karen oversees our Commonwealth Department. of Health and Queensland Department of Education funded health services, which delivers a varied and comprehensive range of primary healthcare across Queensland, and our marketing, communications, training and business development functions.
Karen is an experienced manager with a long career in the health and not-for-profit sectors, in Australia and the United Kingdom. Karen’s experience also includes mental health policy and program coordination, not-for-profit workforce development, stakeholder engagement and consultation, business development, training, strategic and business planning and people management. Karen holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Health Services Management and is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Managers.
In her spare time, Karen enjoy spending quality time with her young sons, sharing laughs with good friends and lazy Sundays by any of our many beautiful nearby beaches.
